I'm an independent developer and founder in Boulder, Colorado. I run two companies: one consumer, one B2B. They share a single build method and almost nothing else — which is the only reason one person can run both.

How I think about AI products

My rule is to start from a specific need, not from a model. A capable model is not a product; a job someone is stuck on is. I've written up that filter in how I decide which AI tools are worth building, and the operator lessons behind it in shipping a portfolio of AI web tools.
